Had a great time with friends here! We visited the castle and the Christmas Market, which were super close. The staff were helpful, and the breakfast was solid. Just a heads up for future guests, the walls can be a bit thin, so you might hear some noise. Overall, definitely recommend this spot for a fun group trip!
The walls are quite thin, so you'll hear noise from outside and other rooms. It can wake you up sometimes during the night.

the room lacked enough closet space.

Edinburgh's culinary scene is a delight! Sipped on a pint at The Tron just steps away, and dined at Civerinos for some top-notch pizza. Loved the scrummy breakfast spread too! My room was a cozy Twin SweetRoom, perfect for the bustling vibe. Plenty of spots nearby for after-hours grub.
If I am nitpicking, the sheer drapes were a bit dodgy to open and the linens could use an upgrade to match the rest. Also missed having face towels—a small touch that goes a long way.

The Ibis in Edinburgh has a fantastic location, right near all the major attractions, making it easy to explore the city. My Twin SweetRoom felt cozy, although a little small with limited storage for luggage. The beds were comfy. The bathroom was tidy and supplied with basic toiletries. The breakfast buffet offered a nice selection, but the food could have been served warmer. The staff was friendly and responsive, which added to the overall pleasantness of my stay. A few drawbacks included occasional noise from the street at night and some confusion navigating the hotel's layout. I missed having face towels in the bathroom, a small but noticeable omission. The sheer drapes were a bit tricky to manage, too.
